For 24 hours in December, Protrada, a domain exchange, had 100 free credits for new members instead of the normal 10. The link stopped working after that. I found out about it searching the NamePros forum a few hours after it ended. Of course. I always miss the best stuff. Therefore, I decided to wait and hope for a similar promotion at some point. About a month later, I was tired of waiting and decided to sign up anyway, since 10 credits are enough to list 10 domains for sale or develop 2. But I really wanted the free credits, so I tried the original link one more time...and it worked! Sort of. It said the 100 credit promo had expired, but this time it took me to a page I hadn't seen before that offered 50 credits. Much better than 10. No way I was going to pass it up.

I haven't had the time to use Protrada yet, but you can read members' opinions at NamePros. I just registered a new domain yesterday, Snaggregate.com. That may be the first domain I test with this system. When I do, I will tell you my experience with them.

I've been working on a post about "Fringe" for my other site, Reinbeast.com, so I never had the chance, and then forgot, to write this one. It's been a few weeks, but it looks like the link still works. I can't confirm this. I don't want to incur anyone's wrath by trying to create another account. I don't know if that's against the rules. So, hurry up and claim your free credits before they're gone again.
